Patrick John Nice bar near Mercyhurst University. Crowd trends younger. The food is solid and the servers are attentive. The happy drink specials are also enticing. The place gets very loud sometimes which can be difficult for conversations. I had a salad which was well prepared and came out quickly. The steak wrap was also a popular choice at my table. Overall, a decent place for food and drinks.

Doug W I had never been into downtown Erie before so this was a nice introduction! (I will get back here in the SUMMER...and the DAYLIGHT!!!) What a delightful and comfortable re-claimed building housing a welcoming and friendly staff. They were delightful and helpful in helping me choose beer and food which perfectly matched my tastes and desires!!! Thanks to Michael for being a perfect host and representative of this organization. The menu is varied and appealing and I scored big time (at Michaels suggestion) with the locally-brewed JOHN RUSSELL ME & JULIO beer and the TURKEY AVACADO sandwich. BOTH DELICIOUS!!!! I look forward to returning.

Tom Lamerson Second time here. Burgers are the best in town! Very cool, historic, dimly lit tavern style bar. Feels like stepping back in time! Parking can be a pain....look for parking up around Tip-Top Kitchen and the Buckeye Bourbon Bar.

David Covert First, Erin was an outstanding server. My wife had the fresh manicotti with two meatballs. I had the Italian combo with two manicotti, four ravioli and two meatballs. Before the meals were served, we got a salad, small bowl of ziti with sauce, a small plate of lightly battered fried zucchini and a basket of bread. All of this is made fresh there. With a strawberry daiquiri, diet pop and a piece of peanut butter pie, it came to $59 and some change. Truly a hidden gem here.

Matthew Hrinko A very good tapas experience at a pretty reasonable price as far as tapas goes in the world. I was truly craving some tempranillo and "tapas olives" and this place did not disappoint. All of the dishes we had were well executed and quite high quality. Highlights were the duck confit, crispy cabbage, and tuna crudo. I will say the patatas bravas was a bit different from traditional - being more of a poutine of frittes and maybe (im still debating with myself on this) a bit over sauced. Nonetheless delicious and we ate every bite and left totally refreshed and satisfied. Thanks for a great experience - cant wait to return for the rest of the menu!

Micha W My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. We both thought it was phenomenal! Our server, Thor, was great, he was very knowledgeable and personable. I had the oxtail (not always on the menu) which was phenomenal and fun to eat. They give you gloves because its a bit hard to eat with a fork, this made it a fun experience. My husband had the lamb shank, and absolutely loved it. Both meals came with very well done mashed potatoes! We had delicious dessert that they change all the time, I believe weekly. I also loved that they kept the beautiful floor intact that was originally Hectors. 10/10 Highly recommend Born and Braised!

Robin AMAZING “food experience” - loaded with toppings and flavor! In a gas station - cleanest gas station we’ve been to in quite some time - You HAVE to try this place. We stopped on our way home from NY and will intentionally stop here again.

Sarah Dietz I usually don’t take the time to review restaurants, but had to say something about this place. We found it on a whim from a google search when on a family vacation in Erie. First off, the ambiance is amazing. It was so cool seeing the history of this building. I think I was constantly looking around the whole time we were there. Not only did my husband and I both absolutely love the beers that we tried, but we were blown away by the food as well. I got one of the Mac and cheese dishes and he had the honey salmon special. It’s very rare to have a cool atmosphere, great service, amazing drinks, and delicious food- but this place offered it all.

Lalena Corwin We are unsure why this restaurant only has a 4.5 rating on Google. In our estimation it should be at least a 4.7 or 4.8. The drinks were amazing and the food was out of this world. From the croque madame flatbread, duck wings and peach salad to the chimichurri salmon and seared duck breast, the food was well seasoned and excellently prepared. The lemon blueberry tart and creme brulee were an amazing end to a stellar meal. We highly recommend and will return.

Liz Gollnitz-Rowe Wonderful experience! The ambiance and overall vibe of the restaurant is very nice. They have unique cocktails that are a whole experience in itself. The food was delicious. Started off with a few small plates - the burrata bites with homemade sauce are a must have! I am not a huge fan of wood fired pizza, but this crust was 10/10. I am used to typical Erie wood fired - super chewy and crunchy. But this was so airy and flavorful! We will certainly be returning for another date night!

Levi Dixie Came here with friends, girlfriend to celebrate a birthday. The fries are crisp and have a nice subtle crunch, extremely delicious. I got the platter and the scallops were cooked well, the shrimp was outstanding, cod was great too. Coleslaw was a nice side to have. I added a piece of perch for $3 bucks and I am glad I got it because it was delicious. I forgot what sauce I got. I also ordered Bing Bing shrimp and it was sweet and spicy, but the heat was not an over bearing need water heat. The star of the show was the crab cakes. Last place I got delicious crab like that was in New York and Hilton Head. Food is homestyle quality. OH, and the raspberry iced tea was the best. I would say more side dishes should be added like a mac & cheese or green beans or both.

Brianna Nelson My husband and I went on a night where they had live music so we sat outside. The food was phenomenal! We both agreed it was the best pizza and burger we’ve had in a long time. The pizza is large enough to split, we took home left overs. They had plenty of good options on tap - the sours were awesome, unique flavors. Great place to go if you’re with friends looking to have great food and drinks. Plenty of free parking.

Harman kaur Multani Habibi is honestly my favorite place in Erie! The very first time I went was last November when I had to stop by the IRS office across the street. The smell of their food from outside literally pulled me in — and I’m so glad it did. Since then, I’ve been hooked. Their kebsa rice, chicken kebab, lentil soup, and hummus are just on another level… heaven for a foodie like me (and I’m a chef myself, so I don’t say that lightly). The owner is the sweetest, so polite and kind — you can feel the love in the place. If the staff gets a little friendlier, that would be a cherry on top. But honestly, I could eat here every day. This spot has my heart ❤️

Kristina Gray I got the deep fried seafood platter, seafood bisque, and carrot cake. The fried cod was fresh and very tasty. My husband got todays special, fish and chips, and homemade apple pie. Very friendly owner, not just typical bar food. Also a variety of innovative cocktails.
