5 /5 Marcus Barkley: I thought I reviewed this place a few years back when I first visited, but I guess not- so here we go. Lavery is quality run brewpub, with some really tasty beers on tap that span the gap between many different styles and flavors. On my most recent trip with my wife, I got a six beer flight to sample, and was impressed by all the chosen offerings, especially the coconut-laden Divine Intervention and the uniquely refreshing lime and cucumber and sea salt sour.
The place itself is kind of on the darker side and is accented with a lot of wood and wood tones, which is just the rathskeller type of vibe that you want from a classic brewpub experience. There is also a nice patio area if you prefer a lighter experience during nice weather. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food (which we tried on the last outing there) is tasty and compliments the drinks well. Overall, its definitely a worthwhile stop if in the Erie area and looking for a nice beer in an enjoyable atmosphere.
