5 /5 Jay Mar: An absolutely magnificent dining experience at Her Place Supper Club! This intimate ~28-seat spot feels like a cozy dinner party—adorable ambiance, coat check upon arrival, and incredibly attentive service (10/10). Chef Amanda’s presentation of the seasonal, rotating menu was engaging and passionate.
Every dish was outstanding: Zeppole with Lobster and Celery Remoulade, Citrus Salad, Green Butter Baked Oysters, Black Trumpet Boudin Blanc, French Onion Soup Lasagnetta (elevated with black truffle—highly recommend!), Beef Cheek Daube with bone marrow and sourdough, plus my add-on Skate Cheek which was superb. Finished perfectly with Tarte Tatin and vanilla ice cream, plus those heavenly mini salted sourdough chocolate chip cookies.
Wine pairings (Chardonnay and Gamay) were spot-on, pacing and portions ideal. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny—especially as a new Michelin-starred gem in Philly. A thoughtful Christmas gift I’ll never forget. Highly recommend treating yourself!
