1 /5 Tim Hornberger: Decided to come for a family dinner of 7. Atmosphere was nice but the experience was not great. To begin the server brought out their much anticipated bread and dipping oil, the server brought 6 small pieces for a party of 7 and quickly vanished. My family guiltily ate their meager slices while feeling pity for me as I was left out. Several minutes later the front of house manager decided she would come to our table and chastise my 13 year old daughter for having her Stanley cup full of water at the table, rudely exclaiming “we do not allow outside drinks on the table.” We quickly put the cup under the table. At that point I asked if they could bring more bread to the table as they didn’t even bring enough for the entire table, the manager rudely replied “ well did you ASK for more?” My wife and I answered at the same time “she never came back.” To add insult to injury the second basket of bread was hard and seemed slightly chilled, almost as if it was yesterday’s bread they were drying out for croutons or breadcrumbs, as some sort of punishment for asking for enough for the entire table. Water cups were frequently left unfilled. Our server even cleared my mother in laws plate while holding a jug of water and didn’t fill it, when it was clearly empty. I got the chicken picatta and it was severely underwhelming. The 4oz chicken cutlet (for almost $30) tasted previously frozen, You know the bland, mealy, chewy texture you’d get from Walmart meat. The chicken Alfredo came with 4 meager strips of, what appeared to be, boiled chicken, and was a $7 up charge. The Alfredo itself had a strange chalky taste, almost as if it had been thickened with flour and the flour hadn’t been cooked out of it all the way, instead of being thickened with cheese. Speaking of cheese, I asked for Parmesan for my picatta and was brought out a shaker, a SHAKER, in an authentic Italian restaurant. The same type of shaker used at PIZZA Hut. Even Olive Garden gives you fresh parm. The red sauce was bland and I’ve made better pasta at home with my 13 year old daughter and our Kitchen Aid. Our entire party was disappointed. What was supposed to be a nice family get together, with the in-laws visiting for just a few days, was a $265 waste of money. Oh, and if that was enough they still smack you with an additional 3% credit card fee, as if their prices weren’t high enough considering the lack of quality and service they provide.
