Were kicking ourselves for not having tried out this place earlier, despite having heard so many good things!
As we came in on a weekday night, we were seated right away (they do take reservations too). The inside is family friendly and cozy, with some nice jazzy type music playing.
We started of with a delicious cup of creamy brussel sprout soup as recommended by our server. Then a salad with raspberry vinaigrette (they offer a good variety of other homemade salad dressings as well). The vegetables were fresh, and the provided bread was buttered and grilled well.
We tried the Bistro Crab cakes, Ribeye, and Filet mignon, wish mashed potato, sautéed veggies and gnocchi for the sides. Everything was delicious and seasoned well.
The star of the show was the Filet Mignon Au Poivre. It was one of the best filets we have ever had. The preparation in particular (cooked rare, as requested) was perfect. The meat was tender and flavorful. The generous amount of pepper cream sauce really complimented the dish.
Our server, Michael, was very attentive, polite, and professional. We enjoyed our experience here, and will be back to try more dishes.
