Cloud 9 Wine Bar & Restaurant - Erie (PA)

5 /5 Lalena Corwin: We are unsure why this restaurant only has a 4.5 rating on Google. In our estimation it should be at least a 4.7 or 4.8. The drinks were amazing and the food was out of this world. From the croque madame flatbread, duck wings and peach salad to the chimichurri salmon and seared duck breast, the food was well seasoned and excellently prepared. The lemon blueberry tart and creme brulee were an amazing end to a stellar meal. We highly recommend and will return.

5 /5 Jeff: The duck was really good, but my date got the tacos and it didnt say they were spicy anywhere in the menu and she couldnt eat them. Besides that it was a great experience.

3 /5 Alexandra Kane: Was visiting Erie for the eclipse and decided to try Cloud 9 for dinner. For starters, I had the French Onion soup and my friend had the lamb meatballs. She said the meatballs were delicious and well seasoned. The soup had good flavor, but the slice of cheese they laid on top wasn’t broiled to crispy but tasted a little burnt. For dinner, she had the shrimp scampi risotto and I had the flat iron steak salad special. The shrimp were well cooked but the risotto was very acidic. The steak salad was good, but the steak was overcooked. Homemade blue cheese dressing was delicious though. Overall a decent meal, but overpriced for what we received.

5 /5 Jennica Kalbaugh: I couldnt get over just how much space is behind the bar! If the bar didnt have such ballroom dancing space behind it, Im sure there would be room for at least 6 more 4-tops. Just the same, it is nice for the bartender to be able to have that much room, I suppose and when it is busy, maybe the two bartenders could dance! The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The recipes were standard Americana, although many were clearly French-inspired. I had so much fun visiting this restaurant, which, based on the website as well as the interior design, leads as much more of a wine bar than a restaurant. They have a full menu and a full bar, so dont be fooled - and the selections are all quite impressive, foods and drinks. I asked the bartender to pair my wine for me - she did a perfect job. I loved the escargot and the salmon so very much. Those around me were friendly. It feels like a welcoming neighborhood bar, right in the heart of the city. I had a lovely experience.
