Smugglers Wharf - Erie (PA)

4 /5 Patrick John: An Erie staple. Right on the bay with a great atmosphere and solid tradition. The service was quick and attentive and the food was well prepared. I had the Blackened Scar (salmon esque fish) which was delightful. Definitely worth a visit even just for the location.

5 /5 Casey: Dont let the negative reviews keep you away. I almost let that happen. Today I got the crab cakes, cole slaw and veggies of the day. Best crab cakes Ive had in a long long time. REAL crab. The restaurant itself was just perfect. So "ocean" hideaway looking. The mirrors on the walls make it look larger than it is. The outside seats under the covered pergola was so beautiful! Expensive but really worth it in my opinion.

5 /5 Gloria: Smugglers Wharf is a gem. Located in the heart of Eries bayfront with lake views, Smugglers Wharf is a laid back, seafood lovers, escape. When we visited, we tried the famed coconut shrimp, which were divine. My Mom had a heaping bowl of she crab bisque which was delicious! I tried perch here for the first time. It was beer battered golden brown and the fish itself was buttery and full of flavor. My Mom had a lobster roll. Which she really enjoyed. The house made potato salad was a tasty addition to our meals. Id love to go back here! Service was great.

5 /5 Vicky Pirozzoli: 10/3/25: We were going to eat elsewhere, but Smuggler’s Wharf caught our eye! So unique looking! I loved all the ivy growing all over the building and terrace. We weren’t disappointed with this restaurant. The hostess seated us immediately. Our waitress, Shel, was pleasant and professional. Great selections on the menu and so many gluten free options! I ordered the Caribbean Breeze salad with Smoked Salmon added ( very delicious and such a light meal!) and my husband got the All American Burger (a little messy but tasted good) and the Chocolate Chocolate Seduction (cake) for dessert (rich flavor!) We were so happy to find this beautiful restaurant! Definitely recommend.
