5 /5 chris: Mangia Bistro and Bar offers New York–style Italian cuisine right here in Scranton, and it absolutely delivers! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, modern, and welcoming — the perfect mix of upscale and comfortable.
I started with the Lobster Bisque, which was smooth, creamy, and full of rich, buttery flavor. You can taste the freshness in every bite. For my entrée, I had the Pollo San Pietro — a perfectly cooked breast of chicken topped with Prosciutto di Parma, eggplant, sweet peas, and fresh mozzarella, all brought together with a tomato demi sauce. It was an absolute standout — the flavors blended beautifully, and every detail was spot-on.
To round out the meal, I enjoyed a Limoncello Spritz from the bar — light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and the staff made us feel right at home.
