Zachs Sports & Spirits - Altoona (PA)

4 /5 Brett Weissbart: Visited Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty quiet and didn’t have a ton of wait staff. The waitress was extremely friendly and took care of our group despite having to run around tbd place. Many people in our group went to try the Altoona style pizza and weren’t disappointed. The other food was very good as well. I’m not from the area and was extremely perplexed to find that the entire establishment was smoking despite seeming to be a restaurant first and bar second. This would be a major turn off to me had the place not been empty at the time.

2 /5 Jasha Feirman: I went for Super Bowl Sunday, and it was not what I expected for a sports bar setting. The Southwest Egg Rolls were great, but that was about it. My daughter said she liked the pizza, but only ate 3 slices. The salsa was good, but the chips were soggy, like they sat under a heating lamp got got and put in the fryer for a second heating. Ive been looking for a sports bar to go to for games, but this wont be on my return list. The waitress was nice.

5 /5 Carol Scarbro: Really enjoy Zachs to watch our favorite teams. Good food. Great Irish coffee to finish my meal. Plenty of TVs to watch all our teams. Jared is the best ever at the bar.

3 /5 Mike Winger: All quality is dependent on whos working. Some nights great food, next night its like a TV dinner. Its 50/50 if it will be a good experience with good food, or itll be a regretful waste of money like it was for me tonight. Boneless wings had little to no sauce and Ive had better from banquet frozen meals. The pizza was bland, and tasted like cardboard. Like I said, some nights the pizza is the best in town and the boneless wings are an item my wife craves. Tonight were regretting spending our money though.

5 /5 Ming Hua Chang: Came here to play pool and munch on appetizers. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great! Food was good and we want to go back! If youre looking to play pool, Id recommend coming early because theres only one table.
