Yama Japanese Restaurant - Beaver (PA)

5 /5 Mengyao Nie: I was visiting friend in the area, and found this restaurant. It didn’t let me down! It’s a nice area and the restaurant atmosphere was lovely. The staff were very friendly. We had some appetizers, sashimi and sushi, all of them were so fresh and delicious (too hungry, so I didn’t take picture for all of the dishes we had). Salmon belly, yellow tail and uni sushi& hand rolls were my favorite. Might come back again before I leave to try more food :) Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

5 /5 Margaret Taormina: We’ve eaten here many times before when visiting the area but we’ve never tried their sushi. We are SO GLAD we did!!! So fresh and so good. We ended up ordering a second round!

5 /5 Benjamin Thompson: Having successfully deposited our dear and only daughter at nearby Geneva College, the wife and I, along with the manling, decided to do a walking tour of the lovely and scenic downtown Beaver, PA. After working up appetite, we decided to try out Yama Japanese Restaurant, having heard good things about it from a previous trip up here back in October (it was closed then, but I assure you it is open now!). Now Ive had lots of sushi, including lots of sushi in the Pennsylvania area, and let me just say that this place was top-notch! Great menu full of favorites (including lots of options for non-sushi-fans, bless their hearts). Fantastic lunch specials that were extremely well priced and filling, which is what we settled on. I cant recall the specific names of what we each got (see the pictures below), but we were all fully satisfied by our choices. The fish tasted very fresh and high quality, and the rolls were prepared quite well. The service was both fast (for a sushi joint) and friendly, and the ambiance was lovely and inviting. Great place to have a dinner with friends or a more intimate meal for two. We will almost certainly be back on future visits to the area.
