The Packer House - Sunbury (PA)

5 /5 David Tice: Excellent food in a very nice setting! Besides hosting special events and the occasional dinner theater, the Packer House is only open for lunch on Thursdays, and you have to sign up for their emails in order to see the lunch menu in advance. Very reasonable prices, too -- this is probably my new favorite restaurant in the Valley!

5 /5 Douglas Manning: An ever changing and varied menu makes this restaurant a real treat. Staff are marvelous and the owners are always on hand to assure that everyone is taken care of quite well.

4 /5 Kimmy Eaton: Get tickets ASAP when they advertise their popular Dinner-theatre events– the house typically sells out quickly! The entertainment by the acclaimed Valley Players (Est.1971) is top notch, the meals are fabulous and the upholstered chairs in the elegant, historical dining room are comfy! Arrive at 6:00 for open bar and meal, settle back for the show and dessert. Expect a full evening of enjoyment! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the train tracks are directly outside and, on occasion, a passing train may interrupt the evenings entertainment for about two minutes, but nobody seems to mind.
