5 /5 Steve Nagy: Small hometown Pizza parlor. Simple menu and cheap prices. All pizzas are of the square variety. They also offer a few cold and hot hoagies. I opted for a single slice, came out hot and crispy. Not a lot of seating but it wasnt designed to be as they recently celebrated their 75th anniversary. Roughly 10 customers came and went during my 15 minute visit. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for that isnt the norm.

5 /5 Jacqueline Minarick: 75 years in business is a phenomenal feat. But it is no surprise considering how special the pizza is, and the subs. They are very unique in their own right. Upon walking through the door you cant help but inhale the distinct aroma of baking pizza. This scent couldnt be captured or reproduced anywhere else. Your favorite menu item is masterfully produced behind a partitioned counter and it appears like magic in minutes. I always get a Regular sub, and a pint carton of Guers iced tea. The sub is always precision wrapped in the trademark crisp white butcher paper, secured with an adorable paper sticker with red retro lettering "Thank you" "Call Again." Every bite of the sub is amazingly fresh and tasty. The unique roll, and the subtle but very present seasoning with the most fresh lettuce and tomato make it understandable how the 75th anniversary has been achieved.

Whether it was enjoying a slice at the local pool, little league baseball games, or other community events, Pottsville Pizzeria was always a part of my life growing up. I try to stop by for a slice every time I pass through while living the van life, and it never disappoints. The pizza is consistently delicious, and it brings back all those nostalgic memories with each bite. I was thrilled to be in town for their 75th anniversary celebration, which was a fantastic event and a great time. The turkey sub I got on the way out was also delicious! If youre ever in Pottsville, do yourself a favor and stop by for a slice at Pottsville Pizzeria. Its a true gem that has been bringing joy to the community for decades!
