1 /5 Yamira Magdaleno: This review hopefully is for educational purposes for the owner.
Unfortunately for people that have never been to DR or PR and truly tried the food this is FAR from the real deal. Being Puerto Rican myself and having been from a small kiosk to a 5-star restaurant I can say they still have a long way to go. Lets start by saying that our waitress was not attentive at all. I dont wish to say her name (this is not to embarrass her). If you are an establishment that only has canned products your servers should offer water (free of charge). Puertorrican and Dominican are by nature EXCELLENT hosts (please do better). As well if you are making homemade food( comida criolla) where is the plantain soup? Fritters like bacalaitos(cod fritters) and alcapurrias (stuffed fritters)? There are so many things you can do to make this better. There is potential to do great. My mofongo was very overcooked, the salad you can tell is from a bag and the only fresh were the tomatoes. If you are going to serve a complimentary snack PLEASE dont serve TOSTITOS AND SALSA. That is NOT a snack you want to serve in a restaurant. If chips are a thing, you can do plantain chips and chimi salsa. Prices are extremely high and only saw my actual server 3 times, 1 was for the drinks, and the other for the check. We asked her for 1 extra dish so it could be an appetizer (we saw they had an authentic Dominican plate) they had no appetizers and she replied that they had none left. To our surprise, the next table was getting what we wanted. You can imagine the big disappointment. And lets not even talk about the bathroom not having a proper way to close it.
I cant say I will never go back.
Hopefully, several years from now if I see they have gotten better I will change my review but for now. THIS IS IT
