1 /5 K.J.: The server my table had was very courteous but the rest of the staff were mostly high school/college age kids who seemed like they didnt understand they were at work. One guy was walking around with a piece of food he was eating with his hands and it took me a second to realize he was a staff member. The guys carrying food had their thumbs sticking inside the bowls and plates, touching the food inside. It would be a lot more sanitary if they would just use trays or hold the bowls from the bottom, as they do in most other places that serve food.
The food was pretty disappointing. The wrapper of the cheesesteak eggrolls was so tough, which is frustrating since they are so easy to properly prepare. The filling was way too salty. The linguine I ordered was clumped up, presumably from not being stirred and boiled properly, and ranged between having bits that were mushy and overcooked to having chunks of hard pasta that was undercooked.
The lump crab meat in the pasta was shredded up and had so many little bits of shell inside, which makes me think they dont use lump meat but rather the special picked crab meat that is cheaper and often has bits of the inner shell mixed in. It would have been more accurate for the restaurant to say "little shreds of crab meat with some shell bits" rather than advertising lump meat on the menu.
Its frustrating to see this level of ineptitude since the restaurant was relatively empty. Young staff members just mulling about chatting with each other and picking up food with their hands while walking around eating out of their hands just felt like I was in a college dorm, not a restaurant. Price was expensive for how lackluster and poorly prepared the food was. Spent about $198 for a table of four. Pasta just needs to be stirred and timed to cook properly and they somehow messed that up.
Cocktails were alright. Between the thumbs in the food, young staff running around eating food
with their hands and immediately serving food to customers afterwards, false descriptions in the menu, and poorly made pasta, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone else, nor would I come here again.
This is probably one of the most negative dining experiences I have had in the Upper Dublin area.
