5 /5 Tiffany Moore: This is one of those places that makes you feel right at home. Everyone is accepted, however you come in that day and you feel welcomed and cared for by the staff. I’ve never had a bad experience. The owner teaches at a culinary school, and always seems to have some interesting things in rotation on their specials menu. This is a very family friendly restaurant also. The only down sides are that it is very busy and coffee is meh, but it is popular for a reason.
The waffle bowls are great, as are their omelettes, and they are well known for their manhole cover pancakes. A bit too much sugar for me, but certainly a sight to see and very tasty. To top it off, the prices are very reasonable. While nothing is particularly high end ingrediant wise (you won’t find exotic menu items that are in vogue or pricey organic/crunchy type items), they do a lot to combine standard house hold ingredients into interesting and nummy dishes. It gives diner vibes, but the atmosphere is more lively and the food more creative. I regularly recommend people here if they haven’t tried it yet.
