Mackenzie Ogle: Super disappointed - rates continue to skyrocket. Dont sign up... within two years my rate has gone from 49.99 to 69.99 a month. On top of that you pay for the pool separate which also goes up each year (like $350-$400 additional dollars for about 3 months of good weather). You end up spending about $120-220 more than each prior year on your membership from dues increases. And no amenities get improved - steam room has been out of commission for a few years (on and off it will re-open, but always dirty and dark). The classes are more than mediocre - only a couple are a real workout. I have been a member for a few years - it has recently started to feel like they are taking advantage of their loyal customers. I would rather pay a bit more for a high quality gym and get the benefits than pay this high rate for things you could get at retro fitness or planet fitness at a much more affordable rate.

Level 1 Fitness - Philadelphia
Noelle: Ive been a member of Level 1 Fitness for over 3 years and I cannot say enough great things. The gym is the perfect neighborhood gym with all of the necessary equipment and more. Its extremely clean and well-kept. The management is always very responsive and accommodating. Amazing service and a friendly team. Overall highly recommend!
Warhorse Barbell Club South - Philadelphia
Nick Widmann: Ive been a member of the Warhorse gym for over a year now and have loved it. I was an athlete in high school and college and always enjoyed how my strength and conditioning coaches would do my programming and Id have scheduled workouts. After college I joined a normal gym and tried to continue lifting on my own, but never really kept a consistent schedule or made any progress. So when I saw Warhorse opened up a Grad Hospital location it seemed like a perfect fit. And so far it has been. For the first time in years, I have been making progress in the weight room again. I go 3-4 times per week. Ahmad and Ben are great at keeping me accountable and pushing me to do more challenging exercises or heavier weights. Ive already referred 3 friends to join and they love it too. Id highly recommend anyone in the area join Warhorse, whether you are a lifelong athlete or just getting into fitness.

OpenBox Athletics | CrossFit, Boot Camp, Small Group Fitness Gym - Philadelphia
Rebecca Dahmen: Absolutely recommend this gym! I’m new to CrossFit. I live in Jersey. Came here while visiting family and needed a place to workout where I would feel comfortable, safe and supported. They cared about my form and made sure I was doing things properly. I’m most definitely coming back when I’m in town visiting family! This place is great!
Sweat Fitness - Queen Village Location - Philadelphia
Emma McKinney: Overall the gym is fairly priced and never overcrowded which is a huge plus. The only thing I’ll say is that there’s only 1 of each machine essentially- which means when a machine is broken or not functioning properly, it goes noticed. I.e: leg raise machine, chest press, and hip thrust machine. I really wish they’d properly maintain their equipment- it’s been about 2+ months and they haven’t been fixed. Also, there’s a bit more to be desired. I wish they had calf raise machines, hack squats, or a more functional hip thrust machine. The other location has a lot more equipment, but it’s so claustrophobic I can’t move around.

Brian Poshka: Great spot if ur serious about body building. All the essentials you need besides a smith machine. You will not be waiting for machines
Warhorse Barbell Club - Philadelphia
Mary Rodgers: Warhorse is an amazing community to be a part of! I originally joined when I wanted to get back I shape before my wedding. I immediately felt welcomed by owners Chris and Jaclyn, and worked a lot with coach Caolan. I had not done strength training for a few years when I joined, and Caolan helped me hone proper techniques and achieve my goals. I have continued my membership for a few years because of the inclusive and fun environment at Warhorse. The coaches have all been great, and Ahmad was an awesome addition! He is always encouraging and has helped me push through training plateaus. The training programs they write are challenging, and can be individualized to meet each person where they are. Warhorse has taught me how important consistency is, and I can tell how that has made me stronger. I had an initial goal of being able to chin-ups, and now can do weighted chin-ups. Thank you Warhorse!
