1 /5 Collin DeWalt: Caseworker attempted to dodge SNAP renewal interview by calling way too early, then proceeded to shame me for being a single father in school taking the summer off to take care of my son (instead of having a job) when I finally got a hold of them past the scheduled interview time. They also tried to tell me I wasnt supposed to use grants and student loans for childcare to make going to school possible. Not going to name names, but if they try to dodge your meeting with them, call them back on the number they called you from directly and leave messages. The customer service number they try to ditch you with will NOT work, theyll only be able to add a note to your case.
Edit 9/24: For the record, my SNAP was successfully renewed after a little more (failed) retaliation from them, and I am back in school doing just fine.
