Evolution Yoga - York
Amanda Capezio: The community at Evolution is like no other. The instructors here are so supportive and inclusive of yogis of all levels while holding space for growth and challenge. The studio itself is clean and inviting. The clothes in the boutique are cute and high quality. Just a great place to get in a good sweaty yoga session!
Celebrity Cheer - York
Mary Strong: Where to start??? When I see my granddaughter love something so much it makes me realize that cheering has been nurtured in her by an amazing celebrity family. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable about the sport. They encourage the girls to work hard but they also have fun!!! No one can put a price on how the girls grow and master skills to make them competitive. When attending competitions we are loud and so supportive of the girls no matter what level at which they are performing. If you want your cheerleader to grow in the skills needed to succeed and to create bonds of friendship that are so important then this the gym for you. Come check us out, attend a competition and see for yourself the family of celebrity. Who are we? Celebrity❤️

Ignite Yoga & Wellness - York
Laurel Nicolson: Ignite Yoga & Wellness (formerly Ignite Yoga of York) is a beautiful studio located in East York, PA. They offer a variety of classes, great for all levels of yogi. They also offer Reiki treatments and Nutritional/Personal Coaching. Theres a great sense of community and belonging here which I definitely appreciate. I see people in classes of every age, shape, and size. Studio is super clean, has all the supplies you could need and has TWO beautiful, spacious restrooms. Cute cubbies to store your personal belongings during class, coffee/tea to enjoy for free and a small boutique with all kinds of jewelry, essential oils, yoga gear, etc. My preferred place to practice!
Planet Fitness - Wilkes-Barre
Planet Fitness
Jimmy G.: Just a great place to workout, day or night. The place is clean, staff is very helpful and a good variety of exercise equipment.
Odyssey Fitness - Wilkes-Barre
Stephen Dule: Ive been going here for about 2-3 months now. Overall I would say its worth the money. Plenty of room and equipment. They also have a pool, sauna, basketball court, free weights, cables, Olympic weights, classes, and a tennis court. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you in any way possible. The members understand *most* gym etiquette. My only problem is some of the benches and equipment are rather old and need to be updated. Other than that, its a great place to work out.
570 Ambition Gym - Wilkes-Barre Township
James Lavan: Ambition Gym hosts some really cool powerlifting meets and has a nice community here. Members get to know each other quickly and I’ve made some of my best friends here. Gym is clean and the owner is always respectful, he listens to member feedback and adds in new equipment, plus he’s making upgrades regularly. Nice aesthetics here as well, feels like a second home. It’s a new gym so I’m excited to see how this place grows over time.

Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA - Wilkes-Barre
Toni Ibemsi: I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the before and aftercare services at the YMCA. My experience with Ms. Kelly was totally unacceptable - she was aggressive and yelling at my niece and nephew in a public setting, which is completely uncalled for. When I tried to address the situation with my sister present (their mom) Ms. Kelly started being defensive and not taking accountability for her and her staffs actions. I asked for her supervisors information and she began to scream at me and yell their emails while I proceeded to walk away from her with my niece. To make matters worse a few days before my niece went missing from her school, Ms. Ashley refused to help myself and the school locate her. Stating the drivers wont answer the phone, this is crazy. There needs to be blue tooth installed for these types of emergencies when the arise with children. The lack of urgency and concern for these children and a childs safety is alarming. Parents and families trust childcare facilities to keep their children safe and treat the with respect. This experience left me shaken and questioning whether or not this is a safe and supportive environment for kids.
