  • 570 Ambition Gym - Wilkes-Barre Township
James Lavan: Ambition Gym hosts some really cool powerlifting meets and has a nice community here. Members get to know each other quickly and I’ve made some of my best friends here. Gym is clean and the owner is always respectful, he listens to member feedback and adds in new equipment, plus he’s making upgrades regularly. Nice aesthetics here as well, feels like a second home. It’s a new gym so I’m excited to see how this place grows over time.
    Elite Custom Fitness - Wilkes-Barre
Jim Helveston: I go to Elite for Physical therapy the staff are very knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend them.
    Resilient Athletics & Physical Therapy - Wilkes-Barre
Yisroel Eichenblatt: Hands-down the best gym in the area! Amazing coaches, amazing owner, classes are compatible for all levels, open gym, tons of equipment So glad to have this gem
Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA - Wilkes-Barre
Toni Ibemsi: I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the before and aftercare services at the YMCA. My experience with Ms. Kelly was totally unacceptable - she was aggressive and yelling at my niece and nephew in a public setting, which is completely uncalled for. When I tried to address the situation with my sister present (their mom) Ms. Kelly started being defensive and not taking accountability for her and her staffs actions. I asked for her supervisors information and she began to scream at me and yell their emails while I proceeded to walk away from her with my niece. To make matters worse a few days before my niece went missing from her school, Ms. Ashley refused to help myself and the school locate her. Stating the drivers wont answer the phone, this is crazy. There needs to be blue tooth installed for these types of emergencies when the arise with children. The lack of urgency and concern for these children and a childs safety is alarming. Parents and families trust childcare facilities to keep their children safe and treat the with respect. This experience left me shaken and questioning whether or not this is a safe and supportive environment for kids.
    10X Fitness - Mountain Top
Jamie Ruppert: Love this place! Neutral colors (id puke if I had to stare at bright yellow and purple), updated modern locker room, steam room, separate studio to do whatever you like, open 24/7 hours, childcare is needed, secure door when not staffed, no judgements, no one eye-googling you, no one shouting or dropping heavy weights, no one bothers me..i love this place and they have exactly what I need!
    Planet Fitness - Edwardsville
    Planet Fitness
Pluh: I came as a guest on 10/28 around the evening and when I was greeted there by the personal trainer I had seen a tattoo on her forehead and asked her what it meant. She told me it was a crown of thorns that Jesus wore. I don’t mean to be a Karen but as a religious person I don’t appreciate this kind of thing especially for a place that advertises as “judgment free” it’s very offensive agaisnt religious groups who believe in Christ and also ones who don’t. I fully support expressing your beliefs but to have someone like this representing as your fitness advisor it makes it very hard to approach her with the right idea without thinking something of it. I hope you take my review into consideration and maybe not terminate the employee but maybe have someone else be the “fitness instructor” of the building because if you asked me to go there I wouldn’t advise it especially to a religious group. Besides all of the factors in that the club was very beautiful one of the cleanest I have ever been to and also very easy to navigate. It is also the first one to have handicapped parking which was also very nice since it was very crowded when I arrived.
Fame Strength- Forty-Fort (HQ) - Forty Fort
Paige Yurko: Coach Briggs is one of the nicest and most encouraging people I’ve ever met. Whenever I feel like something is too hard or a goal is too big she always instills confidence in me that I can reach my goals. Whenever something goes wrong with my sport she always helps me fuel the fire and I come back better than ever.
    Orangetheory Fitness - Kingston
Jerome Landry: This was the worst possible experience. Went to trial the class to decide if i want to join as it was a “free” class and ended up getting charged $28. The instructor was extremely rude all she wanted was to push a membership on me. Would never recommend this gym to anyone. The studio is dirty, and the employees are all rude. The instructor did not explain the workout at all or even attempt to help me with the movements. Called the corporate office as well hopefully this changes. A very unfortunate situation for a small town you would think they value their customers but clearly all they care about is making $28.
    Marts Center - Wilkes-Barre
Donna Janesky: It was a nice facility, however when certain events are being held there there should be air circulation. I attended a wrestling tournament there on 3/17/19 it was hot and smelled of BO ..
    Two Pillars Athletics - Larksville
Jay Hudock: Just started taking My Son here on the recommendation of His Moms boyfriend Mike. Honestly, I couldnt be happier with absolutely everything. The atmosphere is perfect. The trainer, Mark, is not only extremely educated in what seems to be all things fitness, He is exceptional with kids. Watching the repore the "regulars" have with Him, makes Me feel comfortable knowing My Son is getting the absolute best training He can. Thank You so much Mark!!!
