1 /5 Nicole S.: I visited Little Black Dress with my baby, just wearing my usual stay at home mom outfit. The owner did acknowledge me, but it was in a snobby, dismissive way that made me feel like I was beneath her. She barely engaged with me, then the moment someone more dressed up walked in, she gave that person warm, attentive one on one help.
I ended up walking out because I don’t want to spend my money somewhere that treats people differently based on how they’re dressed. The prices are high and I can easily afford them, but I’d rather support a place that respects every customer.
Edited to respond: I was the only person in the shop when I arrived. The lady who arrived after me received a much more warm welcome than I did. Stating that you welcome everyone the same way is wildly inaccurate, and stating that you are only one person is misleading as you weren’t busy at all. I’ve never been made to feel this way in any other shop, so yes, I’ll receive the business and atmosphere I’m looking for quite literally everywhere else. Thank you.
