4 /5 David Joseph: I came here on a seasonably cool and dry Thursday night in late October during a work trip to the area. I didn’t have a reservation but at around 730pm there seemed to be several open tables available. I sat at the bar which also had ample seating.
The thing that struck me most about the restaurant upon arrival is how uninviting the building look from the exterior. All of the shutters were closed and there was minimal lighting to the point I was questioning if the place was even open. Inside the restaurant is a little dated and cold, but it feels like a traditional suburban steak house vibe.
At the bar, there were two bartenders who were lovely and attentive. I ordered the crab cake. I believe my meal came with dinner rolls which were delicious, warm, and fresh. I also thought it was one of the best crab cakes I’d had in a while. The wine also tasted great and was a hearty pour. There is a separate bar menu but when I was there, I was able to order my meal off the full restaurant menu.
There didn’t seem to be anything outstanding or innovative with the restaurant, but that’s ok. They seem to understand how to deliver on what they are selling which is often appreciated.
I would recommend and I would go back.
