2 /5 Geethu Pallikkathayil: I came here on Mother’s Day to celebrate with my mom, and unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing—especially since we came in hungry and had made a reservation for 7 PM. When we arrived, the host had no idea about our reservation and only seated us after I showed her the confirmation. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, so that was the first red flag.
It took nearly 20 minutes just for someone to come by and ask for our drink order. When we told the server we were ready to order food too, she snapped, “I’m only ready for drinks.” It came off as really rude and unprofessional. After we got our drinks, it was another 20 minutes before they came back to take our food order—and then we waited another 40 minutes for the food to actually arrive.
What made it worse was watching the group seated after us get their food before us, while others who were seated before us were still waiting. It felt completely disorganized, like no one was actually managing the dining experience.
The food itself was good, but when you’re hungry and paying that kind of money, the service really matters. For what we spent, we could’ve had a better overall experience at a place like Fleming’s. This place seriously needs better staff training and a reminder that treating customers with respect—and serving them in a timely way—is the bare minimum in hospitality.
