2 /5 Jenny Lee Decker: “I really wish I could say this was a great experience, but management made sure it wasn’t. I ordered the streak gorgonzola a steak pasta dish and the steak was so overcooked and tough it couldn’t be eaten. I sent it back, & asked for a replacement — but nothing ever came, the waitress had to tell me that the chef/cook couldn’t prepare the steak any other way because of the cut. They simply took it away, and never offered anything in its place.
When I suggested it would be fair to comp a beer, our waitress kindly agreed. But when she brought the bill, she was clearly uncomfortable — management had refused to cover even that. She ended up paying for my drink herself just to make things right.
That’s not just poor customer service, that’s poor leadership. No employee should have to reach into their own pocket because management can’t do the bare minimum to correct a mistake. The only reason this isn’t a 1-star review is because of our waitress , Danielle — she handled the entire situation with grace and professionalism she shouldn’t have needed to. She deserves five stars and a better place to work. There are some people in this world that deserve more and Danielle is one of them!
