Chris Family Restaurant - Allentown (PA)

5 /5 Susan Jorstad: We’ve stopped here for lunch or dinner 4-5 times now when in the Allentown area. We rarely eat out, but this is a favorite restaurant to meet up with family or friends. The food is always good, the portions generous and fairly priced. The servers are attentive, and the owner always comes round to greet us and ask if all is okay- which is both uncommon and appreciated! My husband’s favorite is the crab cakes or Seafood Combo. My mom likes the eggplant parmigiana (which came with for large breaded/fried eggplant, pasta with marinara, and a tossed salad - she took half home for a second meal!) My son recommends the Bourbon Glazed Chicken & Broccoli. Most recently, I ordered the sushi tuna with salad with wasabi, which was fantastic (although if you have a good appetite, the portion of tuna is small).

5 /5 Cheryl T. Kaiser: We were in town for the night (a Sunday) and Chris’ was convenient and recommended at the hotel. We were greeted with a smile and seated. The server was attentive and friendly also. The menu is well, massive! What a variety! I had the buffalo salad which they substituted grilled chicken for the breaded friend chicken with no question and my husband ordered the Wester Meatloaf. My salad was NOT the average buffalo salad - the only word that came to mind was “adventure” the salad was an adventure with more goodies in there than just the usual chicken, lettuce and some tomatoes I’ve been used to! The meatloaf “hit the spot” and very filling - just what my husband hoped for. The dining rooms and other details (like the menus, etc) are clean and well maintained. This was a very nice experience and I would recommend this to everyone and will be back when we are in the area (I’d love to try the breakfast!).

5 /5 Sean Q: Great variety of breakfast platters and choices of meats from sausages to ham and pork roll. Hash browns crispy like Arbys potato cakes are also cool to see. Service and food comes fast in a lively atmosphere. Weekday daily specials are appreciated.

5 /5 Frank DiLeo: I’ve been going to Chris’s diner since college, which was over 25 years ago and I can honestly say that other than the improvements they’ve made to the actual restaurant itself their food are atmosphere and their service has not been compromised one bit. I have stage four cancer and Chris’s restaurant is a place I go with my mom and other family and friends to have peace, tranquility, and a place to call home.

4 /5 Karen Williams: It is a family restaurant just as it says in its name! The waitress was friendly and the food was served with a smile! We came for breakfast it was good. They have turkey patties for those who dont eat pork! Try their dessert if you come for dinner! I tried the limoncello cake for my birthday the next day! It was delightful!
