5 /5 Faith: My boyfriend and I love champs! It’s actually in our top 3 restaurants in Altoona. The pierogies are the best we’ve ever had, and we love the Cajun chicken cheesesteak and the steak salad just to name a few. Their fries with a side of their a-mazing ranch…so good! Save room for the berry tarte as well! *chefs kiss*

5 /5 Mariet Arias: The nachos are 10 out of 10. I never ever had to look for a chip in my nachos before! So many layers of deliciousness!

2 /5 Cloe Thompson: Don’t trust the takeout. Ive eaten at Champs in Altoona at least 20 times getting this same meal 90 percent of the time because I liked it so much and have consistently gotten great food and customer service until recently. I ordered a takeout salmon salad and tomato soup right before closing. The salmon was burt to a char on the top. I spoke with a manager the next day who then had the owner call me. He refused to believe the salmon was burnt saying he never had a problem with it and he sells so many then he had to keep his business running and didnt feel I deserved a refund. Ill never give my business or trust that Ill receive great food or customer service again. Im disputing the transaction with the bank. Don’t trust the takeout, it was surprisingly awful. And for an owner to rather keep my money instead of reimbursing me for their mistake will cost him more in profit from future sales, at least from me. Business ethics at this establishment needs improvement.

5 /5 vwgirl: I was in Altoona for work. The Champs is in the parking lot of the hotel I was staying in, so it’s very convenient! The first night I went in the bartender I had was not that great. She was more interested in talking about someone her and the others did not like etc. The five stars is for the second night and the bartender, Chris. He was exceptionally good. He moved around the very large bar with a smile on his face and a great attitude. He was literally waiting on the entire bar, he was getting Drinks, food, cleaning up empty dishes and chatting up the customers. You could tell he enjoyed his job and was very good at it. The food was good and lots of beer choices. I just wanted to recognize Chris and his great attitude and service.
