4 /5 matthew sandler: First visit for me. Never visited pre-renovation.
Martinis were good and generous. Complimentary veal meatballs with toast to start for the table.
All were satisfied with their salads and entrees: Manicotti, Chicken, Veal saltimbocca, salmon. All served with either a side of pasta (except the manicotti) or potato/vegetable. Side pastas were overcooked. Excellent Lemon cake for dessert shared by all. Fresh bread, great service, clean, lively place with no significant noise issues most likely due to carpeting. Much appreciated. Decor was above average for Altoona, i.e. acceptable.
A few gripes: Saltimobcca was a little tough and very pricey at $45 but clearly listed on the menu. Couldnt resist, however... Will go with chicken or salmon, perhaps, next time.
Roast peppers app was not good. Probably the equivalent of one large red pepper cut up, barely warm, no char, no olive oil or seasoning. Not worth it for $13. Avoid.
Overcooked side pastas.
Too much salt in sauces.
Respectfully submitted.
