Citadel Credit Union - Thorndale Alexis Little: In less than one year of membership, I have experienced the same unresolved account issue twice within a single month. Today, after receiving a call from Citadel, I arrived at the branch within an hour and arranging childcare on short notice to resolve the matter immediately.
Last month and again this month, I formally requested a written summary explaining how this situation occurred. The only written response through the Citadel app stated my message was āpassed alongā to Avery Britt Robinson. During my in-person visit today, the teller phoned Thomas from the Collections Department. I requested the written summary three separate times during that visit. The request was not acknowledged.
For over 10 years, I completed the same type of transaction monthly with my previous credit union without a single problem. I only moved to Citadel due to relocation. The difference in reliability, documentation, and follow through has been significant. What makes it worse is knowing that other financial institutions can process these exact same transactions quickly and reliably. If you rely on timely deposits or need dependable access to your money, think carefully before using this credit union. Consistency and reliability should be the bare minimum in banking, and unfortunately, Citadel has not delivered.
This review is not written lightly. My Google profile reflects that I am typically quick to commend businesses, especially local ones. However, based on repeated issues, a lack of written documentation when requested, and no resolution, I strongly urge current and prospective members to consider this information carefully before relying on Citadel for their financial needs.
