5 /5 Jillian Fleming: So this is my home gym and it is my favorite location. Despite it being smaller than some other locations, it is clean, the staff is friendly and quite attentive (with extra props to the night crew who have to juggle cleaning with customer service), and the equipment is in (very) good working order as compared to other locations. I also just love the shape and layout of the gym. Everything is simple to find which makes it easy to plan my workout order. There are not lay down tanning beds, which is not optimal, however the booths that they have are very frequently fitted with new bulbs, so they are super effective and are only 9 minute efficiency booths, which is awesome for my time management. The massage chairs are each in private rooms that are impossible to just peek in on without being real obvious so you can relax for that too. The locker rooms are spacious and provide plenty of privacy if you prefer this.
I will make one complaint, however. When waiting for a tanning bed to open up during peak hours, it has frequently occurred that I am forgotten about by staff. This happened to me again today and what was worse than being forgotten about was that the staff would not own up to this. Instead of taking accountability for it, they blamed the computer, saying it kicked me off the queue.... but when i tried logging back in, it said I already tanned.... pretty sure the person who had just walked in the door and right into the booth that id been waiting for, was tanning on my account. I still got no apology, I was just told about how they couldnt stop the tanning bed because someone was in it.... I knew this, and I feel if the situation was handled with a little more transparency and humility, I wouldnt have been so upset.
Ive had other issues with staff and the tanning beds during peak hours to include multiple incidents of staff knocking loudly on the door about a minute after the bed turned off as I was getting dressed, presumably to "see if I was okay." I feel like whatever system that is used for the minimum amount of tanning booths (3) you have there needs to be revamped or better organized so that staff does not have these issues. They are an otherwise friendly and welcoming and very helpful group of professionals that i enjoy interacting with.
