Duncan Financial Group - Irwin Mark Sutcliffe: One man’s experience:
The adviser seemed more interested in his personal politics than my retirement account. He felt the need to share.
When I left the job my 401(k) with Duncan was with, I was told I had to close my account and… fees. I was told that I wasn’t doing it fast enough so… fees. I pointed out they were the ones holding it up. They relented on those fees. My account was “closed”.
Fast Forward a year and a half, I get a letter. My balance is too low to pay their fees so they’re closing my account (again?)... which had fees.
I would not choose to work with them again.
