Lou C: CHARGED FOR MISTAKES AND ACCOUNTING ERRORS. We are a small business with 2 Full time employees and 1 part time employee. Monthly we send our Business Income for Online tax filings and biweekly payroll. Very Simple Accounting. Invoices received were very confusing and not itemized, not to mention really expensive! Invoices consisted of a short paragraph with a total at the bottom. The Invoice received each quarter was more than what we originally agreed upon. When I contacted Guy Landolfi, he offered no explanation but to rudely refer me to another accountant. I expressed I did not want to switch accountants, since we just started our account, and would like an understandable Invoice at the amount we agreed, so that we may keep track of what we are paying for. We continued to receive the same confusing Invoice each quarter. I could receive a bill for the 1st Quarter and receive another bill a month later for what appears to be some of the same services performed on the 1st quarter bill. I could be wrong, but with the confusing Invoices it is very hard to differentiate what was already paid for and not. Most recently, we received our FIRST and ONLY itemized bill for $295 due to an error made on the October 2019 sales tax that is paid to the State. Since October of 2019 I have been trying to get this resolved with no callback until I received yet another bill for $250 with the same confusing paragraph of run-on sentences. For an entire year of simple online tax filings, accounting and payroll of 3 employees, we spent close to $3,670.25! This includes a "courtesy write-off" of approx $784.25. What really got me was the lack of professionalism exhibited by Mr. Landolfi on the phone. Before I could answer the phone and say Hello, he was quite angry saying, "Find yourself another accountant, were not gonna deal with you anymore" I attempted to get an explanation of the previous bills and was offered nothing but "Dont pay it, go somewhere else." For someone to be this rude to a customer when all they wanted was a simple explanation tells me that there is a reason for the confusing billing; to "milk" their customers for the maximum amount and cover it up with tactics such as this, making it difficult to keep track of what you paid for. This has been my experience.
