5 /5 Betty Chesley: I met David at a home show in Lycoming County several years ago. I was recently widowed, had relocated from out of state to be near family, and had to deal with all the necessary financial planning that comes with losing a spouse, while also retiring. Id already had one unsatisfactory meeting with a noncertified financial planner at a bank and was not convinced he was acting in my best interest.
In the course of our initial conversation, I learned that David was in fact, a Certified Financial Planner, so later arranged an appointment. The office manager, Pat, was tremendously pleasant and helpful. From the start, I felt that these folks were interested in me as a person and in helping me make good decisions for the best outcomes.
My first meeting with David was easily several hours where we reviewed everything from my situation to assets to goals and I left that day with a workable budget in hand. He listened well and asked the right questions, and he worked to make my situation work. I came away empowered and feeling in control of my current financial situation. As a recent widow, that was incredibly important to me. Several further meetings were arranged and now I attend annual reviews. Additionally, I have access to the team with any questions, changes or concerns. I find their fees quite reasonable.
I have to honestly say that David and his team have been a life-saver for me. They have been invested in me as a person, not just a client. I am ever thankful to have first met David at that home show - THAT was an answer to prayer(!). I strongly recommend David and his team to anyone needing financial services.
